Double click on make new connection

Type MLI in the Connection Name box then click next

Type 209 in area code then your MLI local dial-up
number and click
next.

Click Finish

Right click on MLI with your right mouse button the left click on
Properties

Remove the check mark in use area code and dialing properties

Choose the tab at the top labeled Networking
Remove all check marks except tcp/ip at the very bottom.

Then press the button at the bottom labeled tcp/ip settings
Your settings should look like this.

Press ok once. Then choose the tab at the top labeled
Security
Type your Internet login name in the username box
Type your Internet password in the password box.
Leave the Domain box blank
Remove any and all check marks on this screen

Choose the tab at the top Labeled Scripting
Make sure your settings look like this.

Choose the tab at the top labeled Multilink
The dot should be in Do not use additional devices

Choose the tab at the top labeled Dialing.
Check mark This is the default Internet connection.
Move the black dot to Always dial my default connection.
Remove the check in Enable idle disconnect.
Remove the check in Disconnect when connection may no longer be
needed.

Click ok at the bottom and Windows ME is now ready to connect to
the Internet.
