Do I have to pay for hotspot access?
Yes, after initially connecting to one of Mother Lode Internet's
hotspot wireless access points, you should launch your browser.
A page will appear prompting you to enter
a credit or debit card number for internet access, however, access
to My Mother Lode (www.mymotherlode.com) or the Mother Lode Internet
page (www.motherlodeinternet.com) are free at all times.
How do I contact the hotspot provider for support?
There should be contact information at the hotspot. If it is a
Mother Lode Internet hotspot, you can contact support at (209)
536-5800 and press 2, or visit the Mother Lode Internet web page,
(www.motherlodeinternet.com).
How can I tell if I am connected to a hotspot Access Point?
Open your browser window. If you are connected to a Mother Lode
Internet access point, a window prompting you to enter
a credit or debit card number for internet access will appear.
However, access
to My Mother Lode (www.mymotherlode.com)
or the Mother Lode Internet page (www.motherlodeinternet.com)
are free at all times.. Alternatively there may be
a wireless network icon in the Windows* System Tray (by default
located in the left bottom corner of your desktop) that may provide
this information.
Will my VPN client work at a hotspot?
VPN will currently work at the Mother Lode Internet Hotspots,
with the proper configuration.
